Laois Hire are delighted to announce Enda Rowland as our new Brand Ambassador. As an Abbeyleix man, Enda is local to our Portlaoise headquarters and represents the Laois County hurling team. Enda has been both an employee and a customer of Laois Hire over the years so there is nobody better placed to be our ambassador.
The Laois goalkeeper and former all star nominee will help promote Laois Hire around the country and reinforce the fact that Laois Hire are the leading Plant & Tool hire company in Ireland.
Laois Hire Managing Director, Michael Killeen, said: “It’s great to have Enda come on board as our Brand Ambassador. We place a lot of emphasis on supporting the local community and Enda is going to assist with that. He is going to help us encourage children to get involved, and stay involved, with sports from a young age.”
Enda plays for Laois Senior Championship club Abbeyleix and was the captain of the Laois senior hurling team in 2020 and joint-captain in 2021. He usually lines out as a goalkeeper.
Rowland joined the Laois senior team in advance of the 2015 National League. He made his first appearance for the team on 14 February 2015 and made his Leinster Championship debut on 3 May the same year.
In 2019, Rowland lined out in goal when Laois faced Westmeath in the Joe McDonagh Cup final. He ended the game with a cup winners’ medal following the 3-26 to 1-21 victory. Rowland ended the season by receiving a GAA-GPA All-Star nomination.
Rowland has also been selected several times for the Ireland national Shinty/Hurling team and has taken part in the Shinty/Hurling International Series.
