Investing for Success: A large fleet of Compaction Equipment for Hire (As seen in Earthmovers Magazine.. continued)

In addition to a new range of excavators and telescopic handlers for hire at Laois Hire, they also operate a fleet of the now discontinued JCB 2CX Airmaster loader-compressors.  A considerable number of these machines are available for hire and form much of the basis for the firm’s ability to serve the needs of road-surfacing companies. Among the additional features that add to their versatility is the use of side-tip buckets, especially useful when it comes to filling chip spreaders.

However, for many years Laois Hire has run a full range of compaction equipment for hire to support road-surfacing work. This fleet ranges from small pedestrian- controlled compactors through tandem rollers to legacy three-drum deadweight rollers and 18-tonne single vibrating drum rollers, all for hire at Laois Hire.

Darren said, “We decided to choose Hamm when expanding our compaction equipment line as Bomag were proving more expensive to buy.  Since we regard both as quality machines, we saw the HAMM option as being more realistic. We also run some Ingersoll Rand machines in the 18-tonne single-drum class.
