Laois based leading plant and tool hire company supplies lighting towers for use in Dublin Airport

Laois Hire, Irelands leading plant and tool hire company recently completed the sale of 14 Generac VB9 Lighting Towers to the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA). The company, currently celebrating 25 years in business, prides itself on its history of providing plant and equipment hire services to big business, trade and DIY customers since 1992.

“Originally, the order placed by DAA was for 9 VB9 Lighting Towers for use on the runway in Dublin Airport” says Conor Stafford, a member of the Laois Hire team.  Niall Brennan, branch manager of Laois Hire Portlaoise also discussed the sale of 5 more towers to DAA.  “After the success of the first sale, a further order for 5 more towers was placed.  DAA plan to keep the 5 additional towers housed in the Dublin Airfield Maintenance Base to be used in the event of a crash or incident on the runway.”

The Generac VB9 Lighting Tower is a full featured, mobile lighting tower that includes full led lights, remote control and self-activation / deactivation. Through the efficiency of the led system, it is powered by a low maintenance, eco-friendly Kohler diesel engine. The engine has a 300-hour running time per tank, providing up to 75% reduction in running costs.

Michael Killeen, Managing Director of HSS Hire and Laois Hire Group says, his sales teams are selling brands to customers that instinctively recognise quality. “Our customers know that in Laois Hire we have the network established to support them at hire and right along to parts and servicing. Put simply, we’ve built our business on trust and we choose brands that our customers trust and which we can deliver.”
