New Mini Diggers and Midi Diggers for Hire – Investing for Success

New Excavators for Hire – Investing for Success (As seen in Earthmovers Magazine)

Laois Hire was one of the first hire firms to respond to the initial signs of recovery in the Irish market and in 2012 placed a significant order for a fleet of Kubota min-excavators. This far-sighted decision marked the start of a period of fleet expansion for the firm, which continues today.

Laois Hire’s Darren Hutchinson said, “Since the industry started to recover we have expanded greatly and this year alone have added up to 70 items of plant for hire. They are currently running at very  high level of utilisation, which will result in us retuning to the market to further expand machine numbers again in the near future.”

Like their Cat and Kubota counterparts, the recent expansion of their JCB fleet of diggers for hire has been received particularly well by Laois’s clients. The most recent purchase from dealer ECI JCB is 13 machines including 3 tonne mini diggers and a batch of 8 tonne midi diggers for hire.

In the case of the 8026CTS, feedback from users is that it provides good digging power for its size in a stable and comforable work environment. As a compant radius excavator it is particularly popular for urban sites.

Darren commented, “We have JCB excavators on long-term hire with large civil engineering companies who are very impressed with their abbilities. We had very good experiences with the JCB machines in the past with our Telescopics, which are dominated by JCB’s Loadalls”.

“Our Excavator fleet continues to be dominate by Kulota and the fact that we purchased from Cat and JCB recently doesn’t affect our perception of the brand. Kubota diggers have been part of the fleet since the outset and both we and the customer are very impressed with the performance they offer. We see standardising on three quality manufacturers as doing much for the image of the company and know our customers appreciate this level of commitment to offering quality diggers for hire.”
