Laois Hire is a leading plant and tool hire company in Ireland that provide a comprehensive range of services from tool and plant machinery to highly specialised equipment. We have a new opportunity for an enthusiastic and driven Construction Plant Fitter to join our team in Portlaoise.
In this role you will be:
- Carrying out routine services, inspections, maintenance, and repair work on heavy plant machinery at our depot and on our customer sites.
- Diagnosing specific fault issues and actioning appropriately.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly working area including common areas.
- Adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
- Ensuring service records are maintained and updated onto the internal system.
What will help you to excel in this role:
- Relevant qualification in Construction Plant Fitting
- Previous experience working on heavy plant machinery.
- Good understanding of hydraulic, mechanical and electrical principals
- The ability to work independently and under pressure.
- Good communication skills
