Woodchippers: Why your Garden Needs one!

Woodchippers

Woodchippers

As summer quickly approaches and the weather improves, many of us are spending more time in our gardens and outdoor spaces. Here in Ireland, we are no stranger to a hard winter. Unfortunately, if you are anything like me, that means sitting on your patio in the sunshine often results in to-do lists and trips to the garden center!

The winter weather is definitely not afraid to leave its mark. Sadly, it’s our once bright and colourful gardens that take the hit. Here are three ways in which our woodchipper can help to transform your garden this summer:

Woodchippers can transform Garden Waste into Valuable Material

Reduce, Re-use, Re-cycle, remember! One of the most effective ways to keep your garden renovation costs low is to use what you already have. Yard debris, fallen branches, dry leaves, hedge trimmings, grass and even pinecones are all suitable to be put through a woodchipper. This both removes unwanted garden clutter/waste and is a staple element in making excellent densely nutritious compost.

Paths and Walkways

As wood chippings are 100% organic, they are the ideal material for creating paths and walkways in your garden. Including paths in your outdoor space can add subtle divisions which allow for easy access and can add organisation to the space. This also gives you the opportunity to add different plants to each area, which adds vibrancy and colour to the overall experience of the garden.

Woodchippings provide Cushioning for Play Areas

From swings to slides and everything in between, play areas can be a safety nightmare. The mulch created from woodchippers is suitable for summer and winter months as ground cushioning around these areas. This added layer of protection can make all the difference!
